WHY PAY £300 PER HOUR (inc VAT) OR MORE?
Based on my discussions with people who are 'shopping around' for Family Law advice in Weston-super-Mare, Bristol, Taunton, and in other provincial areas, most firms now seem to be charging £250 - £275 per hour plus VAT. In London, the 'going rate' is often significantly higher than that.
Because I keep my overheads low, unless the case is particularly complex or involves huge assets, I can usually offer advice at a significantly lower hourly charging rate, and wherever possible I will always consider offering a Fixed Fee - depending on the individual circumstances of any particular case.
